Lili Grace Foundation and Midlands Diabetes Interest Group unite to provide comprehensive care and support

Transforming Lives with Essential Diabetes Care

On the 23rd of May, 2025, the Lili Grace Foundation is proud to partner with the Midlands Diabetes Interest Group (MidDIG) for a transformative diabetes clinic in Gweru, Zimbabwe. This collaboration aims to provide comprehensive diabetes care to individuals in the community, empowering them to manage their condition more effectively and improve their overall quality of life.

A CONTINUOUS COMMITMENT TO DIABETES CARE

MidDIG has been steadfast in its mission to improve diabetes care in the Midlands province of Zimbabwe. Through monthly clinics, they offer free services such as blood sugar testing, blood pressure monitoring, and health education sessions. These regular clinics have been instrumental in raising awareness and providing essential care to underserved communities across the Midlands Province.

COMPREHENSIVE SERVICES FOR A HEALTHIER TOMORROW

At the upcoming clinic, attendees will have access to a variety of services designed to support their health and well-being. These include:

  • Diabetes Testing: Monitoring blood sugar and ketone levels to assess and manage diabetes effectively.

  • Personalized Counseling: Addressing individual mental health concerns and providing tailored advice.

  • Educational Sessions: Offering valuable information on managing diabetes and leading a healthy lifestyle.

  • Access to Medications: Providing insulin and other essential medications to those in need.

By offering these comprehensive services, the clinic aims to equip individuals with the tools and knowledge they need to better manage their condition.

MEET THE EXPERTS: MIDLANDS DIABETES INTEREST GROUP

Our esteemed partner, the Midlands Diabetes Interest Group, is dedicated to improving the lives of people with diabetes through education, support, and advocacy. Their team of healthcare professionals and volunteers brings a wealth of expertise and experience to the clinic, ensuring that attendees receive the highest standard of care. MidDIG's involvement underscores our shared commitment to addressing the challenges faced by individuals with diabetes.

COMMUNITY SUPPORT AND EDUCATION

One of the key objectives of the diabetes clinic is to foster a supportive community for individuals living with diabetes. Through educational sessions, we aim to raise awareness about the condition and provide practical advice on managing it effectively. By creating a platform for knowledge sharing and support, we hope to empower attendees to take control of their health and inspire positive changes in their lives and the lives of those around them.
